Privacy policy

SunSum (the "platform") explains in this policy what data we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

What we collect

Calculator answers (postcode, property type, bedrooms, roof direction, shading, bill, battery interest, EV or heat pump status, timeframe).
Contact details (name, email, phone, full address, homeowner status).
Consent record (which boxes you ticked, the wording shown, the time, your IP address and browser).
Source attribution (UTM parameters, letter batch identifier, rooftop scan reference where applicable).

Why we use it

To generate your indicative solar estimate.
To email you the estimate and any follow-up resources you opted in to.
To share your details with "THE ENERGY EXPERTS" so they can refine the estimate and provide a real quote, where you have given consent.

Who we share it with

With your explicit consent, we share your details with "THE ENERGY EXPERTS": an MCS-certified solar installer covering your region. We do not share your details with any other third party for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Lead records are kept for up to 24 months for service, dispute resolution and accounting purposes, then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected].

Cookies and analytics

We use minimal first-party cookies for session state and aggregated analytics (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel). We do not use these for cross-site behavioural advertising without consent.
